Briyani tempo (pressure cooker briani)

Ingredients

Ingredients for Briyani tempo (pressure cooker briani) recipe :

  • 1 kg meat with bone (beef, mutton or goat)
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 2 big onions
  • 3 tbs of plain yogurt
  • 2 tbs ginger paste
  • 2 tbs garlic paste Salt ( to taste)
  • 3 tbs (Shan) briyana masala
  • 3 tbs cooking oil
  • 1 1/2 lb basmati rice
  • Handful fresh coriander
  • Handful fresh mint
  • Food colouring
  • 3 green chilli
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 cardamom
  • 2 star aniseed
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 tbs Oil
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 4 potatoes Zafran

Method

Preparation of Briyani tempo (pressure cooker briani) :

  1. Wash and drain 1kg of meat.
  2. Blend tomato with 1 onion, 3 tbs yogurt, 2tbs ginger, 2tbs garlic, 3tbs briyani masala, 2tbs oil. Mix well add the meat to marinate.
  3. Wash and soak rice, fry onions until golden brown.
  4. Cut potatoes in half and fry.
  5. Put marinated meat into pressure cooker on high heat.
  6. After first whilste, turn to medium heat, wait for 2 more whistle switch heat off, add potatoes, fried onion, fresh coriander & mint and put back on heat for one more whistle, turn off again.
  7. Boil rice with salt, (remove 5 tbs of boiling water for food colouring) add coriander, mint, cinnamon, cardamom, star aniseed, cloves oil, cumin seeds and half lemon juice. FOR ONLY 3 MINUTES
  8. Add rice, fried onions, zafran into pressure cooker in two layers. Once complete add food colouring.
  9. Put pressure cooker back on high to medium heat wait for 3 whistles
  10. Open straight after 3rd whistle. Make sure the food is cooked, cover and leave  for 5-10 minutes before serving Briyani tempo.
  11. Bon appetit, Briyani tempo (pressure cooker briani). is ready to eat.
