Cantonese Rice

Ingredients

Ingredients for Cantonese Rice recipe:

  • 11/2 lbs of basmati or long grain rice
  • 1 lb of Cook Shrimp
  • 1 lb of Cook Chicken
  • 2 Carrots cut into small strips
  • 400g of grated Cabbage
  • 250g of green beans or French beans cut into small pieces
  • 8 large eggs Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil Handful of green onions

Method

Preparation of Cantonese Rice:

  1. In a large pot bring water to a boil add salt and boil the rice until 80% drain and transfer to a large tray.
  2. In a Wok heat oil on low, add chopped onions and crushed garlic let saute for a minute then add green beans, salt and pepper let saute for another minute.
  3. Add the cabbage saute for another minute and then add the carrots salt and pepper stir and saute for about 2 minutes.
  4. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
  5. In the remaining oil scramble the eggs add salt and pepper stir then add the rice keep stirring at last add all the vegetables,
  6. Cook Chicken and cook shrimp mix until well combine.
  7. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
  8. Bon appetit, Cantonese Rice is ready to eat.
