Method
Preparation of Carri daal ( tadka daal) :
Boil your daals ( all 4 ) with 2 cups of water and salt ( to your taste) as well as kashmiri chilli powder and turmeric
Whilst its boiling prepare your fried onions, ginger and garlic with ghee, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fennil seeds
Once its browned, keep half of the onion mixture aside to pour on the finished daal later.
Once your daal is boiled, pour it into the onion mixture, add water if required and bring to the boil. Once boiled switch of the cooker
Garnish Carri daal ( tadka daal) with fresh coriander, add kasuri methi (optional) or garam masala (optional) and the remaining onion mix you left aside earlier
