2 can (800g) garbanzo beans or chick peas) drain and rinsed
2 tsp of Laila's Curry powder Salt to taste
1/4 vegetable oil
1 tsp of grated ginger
2 tsp of crushed garlic
400 g of crushed fresh tomatoes
2 onions finely chopped
1 tsp of garam masala
Method
Preparation of Chana Masala :
Heat oil in a pressure cooker fry onions for a minute, add Laila's Curry powder, salt, crushed garlic and grated ginger stir well on low heat.
Add crushed tomatoes and let cook until gets softene.
Add the chick peas and little bit of water cover and cook for 5-10 minutes.
Open the pressure cooker and give it a stir add water if needed to cook the chick peas for another minute uncover.
Add chopped fresh cilantro and garam masala remove from heat and serve Chana Masala with my Bhatura.
Bon appetit, Chana Masala is ready to eat.
**Note: I just add the garam masala at last just before serving Chana Masala. If using dry chick peas soak over night and then boil.
