Chicken Tikka (Mauritian Style)

Ingredients

Ingredients for Chicken Tikka (Mauritian Style) recipe:

  • 2 lbs of ground chicken
  • 200 g or 1 small bread soak in water and squeezed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 150 g of chopped coriander
  • 1/2 tbsp of ginger and garlic paste
  • 300 g of ground cream crackers
  • 4-5 eggs beaten with salt and pepper
  • Oil for frying

Method

Preparation of Chicken Tikka (Mauritian Style): 

  1. In a large bowl add the chicken, ginger, garlic paste, bread, coriander, salt and pepper mix well by hand.
  2.  According to your desire size grab a big ball of the chicken tikka and shape into oval not to thick not to thin.
  3. Heat oil in a pan on medium high. Carefully dig the chicken into the ground crackers right away to the beaten eggs and straight to the oil let fry for 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown
  4. Bon appetit, Chicken Tikka (Mauritian Style) is ready to eat.

***NOTE: If you don't want to fry all of the chicken Tikka it can be freeze for several months. Just use the crackers at last steps so they don't stick to each other.
