Coconut Fish Curry

Ingredients

Ingredients for Coconut Fish Curry Recipe:

  • 3 lbs of fresh fish I used king fish
  • 2 Large onions roughly chopped
  • 4 Tomatoes blend into a paste
  • 1 Bunch of fresh coriander
  • 1 inch of ginger 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 habanero pepper or few green chilies
  • 4 tablespoons of coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon of chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 can (400ml) of coconut milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds Few curry leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup of vegetable oil 

Method

Preparation of Coconut Fish Curry Recipe:

  1. Wash and clean your fish add salt and pepper and fry until golden brown and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaf let saute for a minute.
  3. Blend together onions, ginger, garlic, chilies and fresh coriander add to the pan keep stirring let cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add all the Spices cook for 5 minutes add tomato paste cook again add 2 cups of water cover and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Add your coconut milk cover and cook for another 10 minutes add fried fish cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle some chopped fresh coriander on Coconut Fish Curry and serve.
