Mauritian champ - breaded beef cutlets

Ingredients

For Mauritian Mauritian champ - breaded beef cutlets recipe you will need: 

  • Beef ( 500g)
  • 1 Egg
  • garlic paste
  •  ginger paste
  • salt (to taste)
  • chopped green chilli
  • chilli flakes
  • onion powder
  • chilli powder
  • cumin seeds
  • coriander powder
  • fresh chopped coriander
  • breadcrumbs 

Method

Preparation of Mauritian champ - breaded beef cutlets :

  1. Cut your beef into small pieces ir strips. Pound the individual pieces until theyre thin.
  2. Beat one egg in a mixing bowl with a bit of ginger, garlic and salt.
  3. Add in all your spices into your marinade ( chilli, chilli flakes, onion power, chilli powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder, fresh coriander) and mix well.
  4. Cover your beef in the marinade, and leave for at least one hour.
  5. After your hour, dip all your beef slices into bread crumb.
  6. Place in oil and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side.
