POULET RÔTI À LA MAURICIENNE (Whole Roast Chicken Recipe)

Ingredients

Ingredients for Poulet Roti Mauricien (Whole Roast Chicken Recipe)  :

  • 1 whole chicken about (2 1/2 to 3 lbs) skin on wash and pat
  • dry 2 -3 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp of granulated garlic
  • 1 tsp of granulated onion
  • 3 tsp of paprika powder
  • 1 tsp of chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp of grany mustard
  • 1/2 tsp of black pepper powder
  • 2 tsp of salt

Method

 Preparation for Poulet Roti Mauricien (Whole Roast Chicken Recipe) :

  1.  In a medium bowl add all the Spices along with the mustard mix with vegetable oil until becomes a paste.
  2.  Place the chicken in an baking dish and start rubbing the paste all over the chicken and also in between and inside the skin by lifting it up slightly.
  3. Bake in an preheated oven of 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  4. In between the baking process remove the chicken and flip it over so that the other side can cook as well this can be serve with rice or bread.
