Veg Briani

Ingredients

  • 6 glasses of rice
  • 200 grams of carrots
  • 200 grams of potato
  • 200 grams of jackfruit
  • 200 grams of green beans
  • 1 can of peas
  • Briani Spices
  • Cinnamon and clove
  • Cotomili
  • Mint
  • 3 apples of love
  • 2 onions
  • Yellow color
  • Plain yogurt

Method

  1. Soak the rice with 2 cinnamons and 5 cloves.
  2. Cut the vegetables into small cubes.
  3. Then fry the potato, carrot, jackfruit and beans until tender.
  4. Blend the apples and onions in a blender.
  5. In a large bowl, mix the briani spice, 2 plain yoghurts, sweet potatoes, onion, salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons of oil.
  6. Then chop the cotomili and mint and add to the mixture.
  7. Strain the vegetables into the mixture.
  8. In your rice cooker, put a layer of rice, the vegetables, the spice mixture and the remaining rice.
  9. Add 12 glasses of water.
  10. Add salt.
  11. Add 1 teaspoon of yellow color.
  12. Let it cook.
  13. Add the peas a few minutes before the end of the cooking time.
 
Serve with a tomato or coriander chutney or mixed chutney.
