Ingredients
Ingredients for Vindaille Orite (Octopus Vindalou, vindaye ourite) Recipe :
- 1 1/2 lbs of Octopus
- 3 teaspoon of ground mustard Salt to taste
- 2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 2 tablespoons of garlic paste
- 1 large onion cut into big chunks
- Few green chilies
- 1 cup of sunflower oil or any Cooking oil
Method
Preparation for Vindaille Orite (Octopus Vindalou, vindaye ourite) Recipe :
- Wash and boil your Octopus until tender that may takes about 1 hour to 2 hours or use pressure cooker and it may takes about 45 minutes.
- Heat oil on low heat in a nonstick pan, add garlic paste, ground mustard and turmeric powder cook for half a minute.
- Add Octopus stir occasionally.
- Add salt to taste, onions and green chilies and let cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
- Bon appetit, vindaye d'ourite is ready to eat
