Vindaye poisson thon (tuna) achari fish

Ingredients

Ingredients for Vindaye poisson thon (tuna) achari fish recipe: 

  • Tuna fish (frozen)
  • 360g Ground Black pepper
  • 2 cups oil
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Mustard seeds
  • Fenugreek seeds
  • 1tbsp each Ginger & garlic paste
  • Curry leaves (optional)
  • Green chilli
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • Coriander for garnishing (optional)

Method

Preparation of Vindaye poisson thon (tuna) achari fish recipe: 

  1. Wash, drain & season fish with 1/2 tsp each turmeric powder, salt, black pepper & 2 tbsp vinegar let rest 30 mins
  2. Slice onion & garlic soak in vinegar 15 mins.
  3. Fry fish golden brown, mix all spices except onion & garlic that is soaking in vinegar, use same pot you fry the fish
  4. add 5 tbsp oil on medium heat add little bit of slice onion & curry leave & all spices
  5. fry for 2-3 mins then add fried fish, simmer for 2 mins then add the onion & garlic soaked in Vinegar, sauteed for 2 mins, turn off heat add vinegar coriander & green chilli stir well & serve.
